BASQUE HIGH-SPEED RAILWAY NETWORK

This network, known as the Basque “Y”, is included by the European Commission as a Priority Axis on the Trans-European Transport Network for Corridor 7: Lisbon-Strasbourg.

Built in standard gauge, and serving a dual function for the transportation of both passengers and goods, its route connects with the Basque Country’s main logistics platforms.

INTERMODAL LOGISTICS PLATFORM OF VITORIA

The Intermodal Logistics Platform of Vitoria will be the first logistics terminal in Spain to have a standard gauge link to the Atlantic Corridor.

In the first phase of construction, already underway, the entire ADIF terminal will be extended and remodelled. This infrastructure will become the first logistics terminal in Spain to be connected to the Atlantic Corridor in standard gauge, which will serve to promote and enhance the processing and exchange of goods with the rest of Europe, as it will be able to receive 750-metre trains in both standard and conventional guage.

The construction of facilities for the rail freeway between Vitoria and Northern France will be built in the second phase.

VITORIA INDUSTRIAL AIR PARK (VIAP)

An expansive park of economic activity with links to Vitoria International Airport.

In its projection phase, it is aimed at companies that need to place themselves in a location near an infrastructure that ensures global connectivity, allowing them to reach their customers in a competitive way.
